…..Kevin and I finished the Hydro seed job for Idaho power last week. They put in a new kayak and raft take out on the Hagerman river and we did the seeding and planting for them. Hydro seeding is an amazingly effective method of seeding an area like this. The seed is spread thickly and evenly, as well as any other amendments need for the site, this site got some tackifier to help hold those steep hills in place. Because the seed is sprayed onto the ground it also get really good soil contact, and will be ready for spring moisture to start growing.
…..We also planted a few hundred supper cells, grasses and flowers mostly. After watering them in I was really glad to see a week or so later then none of them had died. This bodes very well for their establishment and success. Here are some photos.
