Conservation Seeding and Restoration, Inc. (CSR), has become Xerces’ project partner in the Great Basin region. With Xerces’ support and funding, CSR has initiated production of showy milkweed (Asclepias speciosa) for increase and distribution. Next year, Xerces and CSR plan to bring an additional milkweed species into production. Xerces’ goal is to develop reliable, ecologically appropriate seed sources for monarch habitat restoration across the larger Great Basin region.
