Conjunctive Management and Water Conservation Seminar: Strategies for Sustainable and Collaborative Water Use.

Hear guest speakers and panelists discuss current information, strategies and tools as we enter a new era of water administration and management. Hosted by Wood River Land Trust (WRLT), University of Idaho Extension, and The Nature Conservancy for the community to gain an understanding of the Wood River basin hydrology, what is the water-call process, implications and mitigation options. A panel will discuss community wide solutions.

CSR’s Steven Paulsen and WRLT’s Patti Lousen will be presenting (1pm – 1:50pm) on drought tolerant lawns and gardens. Ideas, design, and the “how-to” of lawn conversions from a traditional lawn to that of native grasses.

In the 2nd year of restoration for a sage grouse habitat enhancement project north of Elko, NV, these sagebrush will be delivered and installed this spring. This 2 year commitment includes installation of over 70,000 sagebrush plants.
